A blog (short for "web log")[1] is a conversation or instructional website on the Internet that consists of discrete, frequently informal diary-style text entries (posts). Typically, posts are shown in reverse chronological order, with the most recent post appearing first at the top of the web page. Until 2009, blogs were primarily the product of a single person, or possibly a small group, and they usually covered a specific subject or theme. In the 2010s, "multi-author blogs" (MABs) arose, which featured numerous authors' material and were sometimes professionally edited. MABs from newspapers, other forms of media, universities, think tanks, advocacy organisations, and similar organisations.
